First Service was established in 1952. L.J. Jeter, the founder, opened the first office in Big Spring, Texas. Mr. Jeter operated the company as Jeter Sheetmetal, Inc. until 1984 when David Grosse purchased the company. Soon after the purchase, the name was changed to First Service Air Conditioning Contractors, Inc. In 1986, the company moved its office to Midland, Texas.


The name First Service was selected to show our commitment to service. We have continued to grow each year by maintaining this commitment. First Service is recognized as an industrial leader in West Texas. At our customer’s request, we have provided service and installations throughout Texas, Alaska, Oklahoma, Arizona, New Mexico and Kansas.
