About
Building Automation Manager
Jerry brings nearly two decades of hands-on expertise and strategic leadership to the building automation field. His career in the HVAC industry began in 2006, where he built a foundational understanding of mechanical systems as a field technician. While honing his craft on-site, he completed a rigorous two-year technical program at Midland College, bridging the gap between mechanical labor and advanced systems engineering.
Throughout his career, Jerry has transitioned from field operations to high-level management, overseeing building automation departments with a focus on precision and scalability. His experience spans the full project lifecycle—from quoting multi-million dollar large-scale construction sites to designing tailored solutions for single-unit installs. He is uniquely qualified in the specialized arena of chiller plant optimization, having designed and programmed complex systems from the ground up.
Beyond standard HVAC controls, Jerry possesses a deep technical command of:
- Network Architecture: Designing robust infrastructures for smart building communication.
- Custom Programming: Developing sequence-of-operations for highly specialized equipment.
- Electrical & Electronics: Applying a high-level understanding of circuitry and power systems to ensure hardware reliability.
After a partially successful period managing a diverse portfolio of entrepreneurial ventures in the carpet cleaning and oil field services/rental sectors, Jerry returned to his primary passion for HVAC and automation in 2025. Today, he leverages his multifaceted business acumen and technical mastery to deliver efficient, innovative, and sustainable automation solutions for our clients.
